so sick of goop. omfg. I think I'm abnormally gushy - I have serious WHOOSH moments where I could probably fill a tablespoon all throughout the day, and it's just... no. I don't wear underwear, can't stand it, so pantyliners aren't an option. and I've always been like this, so I know it's just me and not some sort of temporary imbalance or somesuch.
I currently use a large ladycup and love it, except it's kind of too in between for my purposes. I need a high capacity cup because I have a horrifically heavy flow, and my current one doesn't quite do because it leaks at the holes, which are like HALFWAY down the damn cup, and it's too large to be comfortable enough to wear as an everyday discharge cup. now, I had a small ladycup that I would have used for this purpose, except the damn thing just turned to the side O_o I think it was too narrow.
so... I'm thinking about this: a medium meluna for discharge because it seems like the widest small cup, only 1mm narrower than my large ladycup, and a large meluna for its intended purpose - the holes are higher and it should theoretically hold more than my ladycup. seems just right! what do you peeps say?
one other thing - there were some concerns raised over the safety of TPE - I assume they were debunked as I haven't heard anything else about it. would it be safe to use as an almost constant discharge cup, if I chose to use it that often?
thanks so much in advance!

*Update* I bought the Lunette. It was what I was leaning towards, and with someone telling me its soft kind of like the ladycup, I'm sure I will have found the perfect cup for me, finally. Okay, so I started out with a small divacup. It was uncomfortable, felt like I was constantly squeezing on my bladder because the rim just felt too big. So I finally got a small green ladycup just to try out (also recently got the lotos) I loved it, until now. I literally have been emptying my cup every hour all night long, and throughout the day. Its also leaking hardcore (the cup is FULL when I take it out). I tried the divacup again, knowing it was bigger, but it still hurts. So I came on here to check out larger capacity cups and liked the looks of the lunette and fleurcups. They seem bigger, but the rim is still a bit smaller than the divacup. What I want to know is what is the material like? I think I like my ladycups so much because they're so soft. Or should I just stick with a ladycup and get the larger size? Thank you! I wanted to thank this community for helping me gather the courage to try menstrual cups and for giving me such invaluable information. Based on my estimations of my body tallied against the information on the sizing chart, coupled with my own personal crusade to buy locally whenever possible, I bought a Diva Cup (size 2) from my local health food co-op. And people, it was an unmitigated success! By some stroke of luck, the Diva fit me well and I had no stem-poky-problems. There were a couple times when I couldn't get the cup to open, but a removal and re-insertion did the trick. The 7-fold works much better than the other folds I tried (C-fold and punch-down--I didn't feel like trying anything too fancy right off the bat). The only time I had any trouble with removal was the very first attempt on my pre-period dry run. And I think that was largely due to me trying to figure out how to maneuver my long-ish nails around the cup without injury. In another stroke of luck, this was one of my Bad Periods, which I have a few times a year: near-debilitating cramps (which keep me awake at night), heavy flow, exhaustion, headaches, nausea...the whole nasty deal. But I think the cup was easier on my body--and it certainly kept me somewhat interested and entertained! So much better than feeling a little repulsed by the numbers of tampons I've added to landfills over the years. I did use a pantyliner every day (and I was grateful for that), but I would've done that with tampons, too. I don't imagine that habit will change, although I might move to washable pantyliners eventually. Thank you so much, menstrual_cups LJ community! You all are the bomb. I could not (and would not) have done it without you. Tags: divacup, first time use

It looks like it will be a few more days than expected for our Lunette's to be shipped! :( They're so close but so far away! Hello everyone,
I know you are all patiently waiting for your Lunette order to arrive on your doorstep. I want to let you know where it is and when it will get to you. On Friday, I was informed that our first shipment of inventory had cleared customs. Consequently, I anticipated receiving the shipment and mailing products to customers today. If you received an email from the USPS stating your product is shipping on the 21st, it was automatically generated when I printed your postage.
However, when checking on the arrival time this morning, I was informed that the shipment is still in customs, this time waiting for an FDA signature. Given the time of year, they are just a bit busy. They now anticipate two or three more days before I receive the inventory. The moment the shipment arrives at my office, I will send it on to you.
Wanting to do things right, our first navigation through the government process has been much slower than we’d like! It is frustrating but the FDA process is a good thing that exists to ensure our well-being. Please know we are doing our best to get you your product as soon as possible! In the meantime, we wish you a happy, relaxing holiday season!
Thank you,
Caron Rohman Lunette U.S. Representative
